whats the url on the card say? what kind of sd card are you using? what ver of ds are you using? the only kernel/frimware you can use is from the web site that is printed on the r4 card or on the box. what are some of the problems that you have with it, black screen stuck on loading screen it says you have no game in there it cant see roms ect

the url is the web site printed on the r4 card and / or on the box. that is the only place to get the software from to let the r4 card work. if your tring from another site the card will not work. there are many people putting out these cards and each one are kernel specific you've got a 2 gig sd card is it sandisk/ kingston or some fly by night off brand sd card. does the computer see the card when you try to put things on it. and you are trying to use this on a dsi?

so the r4 card does not see the sd card inside of it , does this make the ds lock up in the start up screen if so then the card is bad. but it seems to me that the links on the r4 site that you have are in working order. sometimes the r4 card will bend a pin in the inside causing a miss contact. you can open it and check this just be real careful and make sure to ground your self. but if its still a no go the r4 card not seeing the sd card then your card is faulty.

i know what you meen drop kick does come to mind. your tying to up grade the kernel for the r4 card that has the .cn url. the one from r4ids.com does not use this upgrade. try getting the lowest kernel you can find for the card and work your way up from there. i had do do this same thing.

you did say that you have a r4i gold card from r4ids.com, if yes that should work on your dsi, just download the kernel from that site should be the newest one 1.4 English ver im using, just make sure that is a complete download sometimes it only comes halfway. took me like 2 days to get a full copy and although i am using it a a ds lite i have tried it on a dsi and it does work. i really hope you get your card working

oh thta makes sense now. good luck on this when you get to flustered about it just take a deep breath and wallk away for a few hours then come back to it. your going to get this to work
