i have had to reformat my card many many times and before i found this site i started doing trile and error with the kernels. with the older ds try using a old kernel like a ver 1.2 and see if that works then work your way up to the latest one. you might find the the older ones work on the old ds my card wont see past 6 roms i can delete them and put 6 different ones on but after that i wont load any of them. so there are problems with it. i first bought a gold from the same supplier r4idws and it broke like 5 min after playing with it the ds said i had no card inserted then i bought another one and its been running so so. don't give up just keep plugging kernels into it and hope for the best and don't hesitant to ask questions

Hi,
I bought that card with a microsd adapter extra to read the microsd card, downloaded and copied the kernel version 1.32 http://www.r4ids.com/.
All the files have been successfully copied to the root directory of the microsd card. I have an IMAC with a card reader btw.
Unfortunately, the DS greets me with a "loading" then it gets blank.
I already had the card replaced, still no go. Tried older firmware: FAILURE.
What is wrong?
I read other posts but I am unsure if it is related to the same symptom.
Thanks in advance for helping.

FYI,
I booted up in Windows 7 mode and formatted the microsd card with the software you've mentionned. Still no go though.
I use Kingston 8Gb microSDHC card.
Thanks for helping.

Where can I download all the old kernels? I cannot find any link to get kernel older than 1.31 which still failed to work.
I found multiple URLs to download old kernel which greets me with "file not found".
Thank you.

Hi Robert,
I tried all of the kernels you advised me. Unfortunately none of them work. I redid all the steps mentioned in the FAQs from step 1 to 4 and it still did not made any difference. Again I am greeted by a blank screen after viewing the initial screen and after hearing the initial beeps.
I tried all of these kernels: R4English-1.18.rar, R4_124(Bate)-English, R4(122)-English, R4(123)-English,R4(119)-English & R4(120)-English.
Now while my DS is still booting normally how can I know if my DS card is not a fake one? unsure: The SD REader is not included, it is even clearly indicated on the box with a MARKER at the back of the yellow box and also on the store's website. I use my MAC's side SDHC reader and use Windows 7 via Bootcamp. That should not make a difference.

Thanks for assistance,
I returned the card to the store as I all it failed to work with any kernel.

Hi both,
Just wondering - what is the URL printed on your card? It may be different to the one Fondingo used? There are numerous clones out there - its imperative that you source the kernal from the right website - they all look the same but the software from one will not work in the other.
