I have got a new card since the r4i gold would not work it look the same as a normal r4 card it doesn't say r4i on the front but does on the bottom of the metal part on the back, it comes up with danny jungle thing which i know should be normal to trick the dsi but it just crashs at loading screen try a few different softwares but same thing. It doesn't have a website on the card or box so don't know the actual site.Do you thing this could be a fake.

Hi Jezzajay,

Its odd that there is no URL on the R4 card or the box, your issue most likely is that you are using the wrong software for your R4 card so finding the URL for the manufacture should be the no 1 priority. Who did you buy this R4 from? Can they supply the URL?

It's for my sister so i don't know where she got it from its like with the r4i gold i had and this one i can get ds games to work on both it's just the dsi games i can't get to work.Can dsi game actually be played on the r4i's.

Hey again,

I am not sure that there are any differences with DS games and DSi games? However they should work. Do the actual game cartridges work in your DS/DSi?

yes i managed to find the right things for both of them and they will play the ds games like baby pals ect but dsi game like bejeweled twist,hair salon,girls life fashion addict and girls life make over will not work with the r4i gold they just start loading then stop a 1/4 of the bar and say errorcode 4 please reset the system and the other card just loads and goes to a black screen with loading then a blank white screen. It really annoying cause my little sister keeps begging me to get it working lol. I've done plenty of r4 cards and the sdhc cards and none have been as hard to figure out as these.

Hi,

We have seen a lot of issues with R4 Gold cards on here unfortunately. It seems that these cards are due an urgent firmware update! I think you have it all setup correctly etc, so that's not an issue. You may want to invest in a standard R4i. I can recommend one if you wish?

Hi well my sister got me another card to try the r4i sd-hc.

I put the files off the website and when i put the card in it said no game card inserted, i took the sd card out and tried the card itself and showed there was a card there but everytime i but the game card in it says the same thing.I manage to push the card back abit with my nail lol and it showed the star wars game got onto the main menu went on the dsi games i couldn't get to work and they loaded and work which was a start but everytime i stop pushing the sd card it would blank off, i've blown into the card and tried a piece of card between the sd card and the r4i card but it doesn't seem to be pushing enough am i putting the card in the right place to push it.
