Does anyone know where I can download the software for r4i sdhc card with no website info. The back of the card has a yellow interface with R4_8_V1_X6_02 2009.07.14 printed on it. I would appreciate any help.

Hi, I have bought a R4i card for my sons DS. It worked fine After I updated the Nintendo DS software on the machine itself where it says "System Update " the card stopped working. It says " An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSI Operations Manual for help troubleshooting" Please help me out on what to do, this is driving me crazy since my son is so sad. Regards Tom

Hi, I have a dsi xl and a happy box version of the r4i upgrade. Bought it through memorycardzoo.
Most games and homebrew stuff is working fine, but a few newer games are not. I either get an error code 4 or just a white screen or the game loads but then freezes.
I am not sure whether to upgrade the kernal or not as I have only had the card for 10days and 90% of stuff on it works. Keep reading about folks who are getting caught in the 1.4 trap, and I cannot afford to buy another card just yet - after an impulse buy of the XL and then the R4i card as my R4 card is no use with it.

Thanks for reply. I have updated the kernal successfully but it makes no difference. None of the new games will run, I get exactly the same results.
I hope getting the dsi xl is not going to prove an expensive mistake as my old ds original has no such problems!

HELP!!!!!!!!!, ive just downloaded and installed the latest firmware 4 my r4 upgrade card, i can get games menu up, choose a game, and it comes up 'savdata not founded', im stumped, coz ive tried downloading from different sites, still no luck.............PLEASE, any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi, I just got my card and am having difficulties w/ my DSL recognizing it. The url on the card and the box is www.r4i-sdhc.hk and it is an R4I- SDHC Upgrade Revolution. I am including a pic of the box since I can't seem to get a decent pic of the card. The card and the box both also say WiFi on them. I am using a 4 GB SDHC card with the R4i card.

I need to note on here that when I have followed all the instructions and tried to run the card, my DSL says there is no DS card inserted. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi
I have just got the R4i gold upgrade card v1.41 with mario on the box. (It says V1.41 not 1.4.1) It has the website R4iSSDHC.COM on the box. I have looked everywhere for the software to go on it. Has anyone got one of these cards and if so can you tel me where to get the software from. I have been on the website and what I downloaded from there did not work. I cannot contact them because there is no where to contact them.

Hi,
I just bought an R4i v1.4.1 card on the www.R4I-GOLD.com website and it really doesnt work, I tryed everyhting!
And this site has updates and downloads but they don't work on my card. 
It keeps giving me the same error: a white screen with MENU ? on it. What am I doing wrong?
Please help me!

Always make sure you have the latest version of the Kernel software for your card. 9 out of 10 times this fixes issues people have had with Loading messages and general card not working properly failures.
Does your R4i Upgrade card have the following URL written on the card? (Check it exactly - note the dash in the middle): http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/

Hi,
It does not matter which one you choose - these are only the locations where the software is located and does not refer to the language of the software or anything.
Basically choose the one closest to your location as this should mean that your download is quicker.

Hi,
You have fallen into the 1.4 firmware trap - Nintendo have updated the DSi firmware to block the R4 type cards. There is no way around this unfortunately other than to purchase a new R4 card that is compatible with the latest Nintendo firmware :S
Let me know if you want me to recommend a card that will work in your updated DSi...

Hi,
No worries the best card to buy would be this one: R4i 3DS
That retailer will send you an email with step by step instructions and also a link to the right software for that specific card for you to download.
You do not need to buy a new micro sd card as you can re-use your existing one - just remember to delete all files from it before starting though.

Your new R4i from memorycardzoo will be 1.4 compatible, and if you have an XL then its already on 1.4 anyway :-)
You should have no worries updating the R4 Kernel if you have found a newer one available.

If the card is not being recognised as inserted then it is probable faulty. Remove the card from the game slot and blow hard into the slot. Re-insert the card ensuring it is seated correctly and see if this works. Other than that I would suggest you get back in touch with the retailer

I have not heard of this site before. Normally I would say you have to get it from the manufacturer but why not try the download from r4i-sdhc.com....worth a try

The error you are describing is indicative of a software error, as in the way it has been placed on your micro sd card or incorrectly formatted micro sd card.You need to remember to format your micro SD card to FAT32. Also ensure you unzip all of the files in the software kernel and transfer them over to your micro sd card as they appear. Any of your own files that you add must all be placed individually at the root directory of your micro sd card also, and not in a folder.
