Always make sure you have the latest version of the Kernel software for your card. 9 out of 10 times this fixes issues people have had with Loading messages and general card not working properly failures.

Does your card have the following URL written on the card? (Check it exactly - note the dash in the middle): http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/

YES - then the software can be found here: http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp

Do you have to make a games folder or do you just load the game files on the r4i card after installing the kernel?Ermm

All you do is individually drop the game files at the root of your micro SD card.  Do not put the m in a folder as this will not work.

Hi My daughter has R4i upgrade v1.4.1 with v1.28b kernal downloaded on to a 8gb memory card. She has been using it for months and it was working fine. But now each time you turn on the console it reads. There is no card inserted in the Ds game card slot. I have put this same card in two other Dsi consoles and the same thing happens. I have also put differnent R4i cards in my daughters console and they work fine. So it seem's it is the card. I have reformatted the memory card and reloaded the kernal and games, but the same thing is happening. I have tried blowing the card and and wiping it clean. But still nothing. Can you please help?

Unfortunately you have tried everything I would suggest.  The best thing to do is to contact the company you purchased this from and see if it is still under warranty.

Sorry to jump into this thread but I had a problem downloading uncorrupt kernels from my supplier. Through hours of google and yahoo searching I stumbled upon an excellent site.

I have a card from rll-net.com and I browsed through this other site and tried out a lot of different kernels and one worked. Since a lot of the cards are clones, you can get lucky and one from another manufacturer may work. Anyway, here is the site

Hundreds of flashcard files

This is not 100% true as mine work from a directory called "Games". I am assuming it is all down to which flashcard and kernel one is using.

For some of the DS cards out there you can put all of your game files into a folder unfortunately this does not seem to work with the R4i in my experience

You will need to go to the manufacturers website for the software download for your particular card.  Once there you will find a link to download the relevant software for your particular card.  Please unzip the file and transfer all of the files and folders as they appear over to your micro SD card.

If you are still having problems please get back in touch including the URL (web address) on your card

Hi there lets see if I can help...

Can you tell me what operating software you currently have installed on your DSi?  You can check this by selecting the spanner icon on the home screen.  The version will be indicated on the top screen in the bottom right hand corner.
