so i downloaded both the kernels from that site and im tring to run them on the dslite both did not work. the first one just stays on the loading screen the second or gold kernel has a cool looking r4 screen but never gets past that. back to the old kernel for me although it wont see past 6 roms

Hi:
Please format the sd card and copy the kernel from www.r4idsn.com to the sd card.
Try again.
If you have any questions,please send mail to r4idsn@163.com.
Just do as the procedures below:
1.Format the SD Card first.
2.Copy the kernel from www.r4idsn.com to the SD Card.
3.Power on the DS Lite.

i see that there are 2 possible kernels to use what one did you use for the lite. i do have the r4i gold from r4ids.com using it with the dslite, will try all of them again

im chatting with the people over at that site they are trying to figure out why the kernel is not working on my dslite. the site is running and the email address works
