If you already know what type of card you have and just want to be pointed in the right direction to get the latest software for your card then the best thing to do is use the URL that is most likely printed on the front of your DS card. That is the URL you MUST use for the software for your card.
Even if you already have a working DS card that you think is identical to your new one it is imperative that you always use the most recent software. The internal architecture of the card can change over time and this requires the latest software updates.
There is a chance that although your cards look the same they actually come from different manufacturers and the URL on the card will be ever so slightly different so check carefully. There are many clones out there, especially for R4. It does not mean they don't work. It does not matter that they are clones - they will all work, it just means you have to downlaod and use the software supplied by the manufacturer of YOUR card!

Hi, i have a NDSTT card and the first 8 games worked perfectly, but then when i put another 20 odd games on (8gb) it now says errcode 81 rom loading failed or something like that on ALL the newly downloaded games, but the picture shows? (game image) so looks at first like there all gonna work?Please help me what i need to do to get them all working and what software- so confused Thanks,Katey

Hi just looking for a little help! , ive got a R4 card with software v 1.18 which the original site says this is the latest version. I am just unsure cos some of my games still dont work, when ive looked on other sites they have higher versions? Help please!!!!!!

Hi Suzi,
What particular version of the r4 did you purchase? When you say they do not load do you mean the hang when starting? If you leave them long enough do they eventually load?
Do not worry about the different versions out there of the kernel software - different manufacturers release updates at different frequencies and so the release numbers have no relation to each other. A 1.4 version can be more up-to-date than a 2.6 of another manufacturer. :-)

Thanks for your response, i got my r4 card over a year ago so im not sure which i have, all i know is its a revolution one. When i say they dont load i mean it sometimes does'nt show any pic or title in the touch screen just untitled or they load in but go no further than the main screen, with this i think i will have to be more patient lol
