hey i currently own a DS lite and an R4i SDHC 1.4, i want to purchase a DSi, but i heard about a 1.5 firmware blocking cards, is it out and if so, if i buy a DSi will it be 1.5 and render my card useless.

Hi Andy,
We understand your concerns but 1.5 is not yet out as yet. If you want to be future proof then you may want to look at these three cards:
M3i ZERO
SuperCard DSONEi
iEDGE Cards
The above cards seem to havew a mechanism for you to upgrade the bootstrap of the cards with brand new software - so should a 1.5 come out then it is more likely that you will be able to uypograde these cards so that they are compatible with 1.5 - whenever it comes out!
