okay so i'v downloaded this kernel http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp
& used 7-zip to extract. i copied & pasted onto the r4i but when i insert it into the dsi & click the file the top screen shows a memory card in red with a o; kind of face & underneith sez "menu?" its just stuck on that page

Hi There,
First thoughts are that you have either installed the wrong kernel for your R4 or have installed it incorrectly. Can you double check you have the right kernel? There may be a different one for an r4i or an R4 and also for an R4i that is 1.4 compatible. If you are sure you have the right version then please post a screenshot of the contents of your micro sd card.
