Try formatting the micro SD card to FAT32 with the size allocation set to on (default if using the windows formatter). Test that the card works and is picked up by your console before putting nay game files on.
Then put only a few on at a time and see if it makes a difference.
Many Thanks

The white screen definitely suggests a problem with the software. It is important that you get the software from the manufacturers website of your particular card. Format your micro SD card to FAT32 with the size allocation set to default. Once you have downloaded the software onto your PC you must unzip the file and transfer all of the files and folders as they appear. Check this works on your console before adding any games.
If it works at this stage start by adding a few games at a time to the root directory of your micro SD card.
Good luck

Help me please! I am struggling to get my r4 card to work. I have just bought a Nintendo DSi so I thought that I would be a bit naughty & get a r4i gold for it. I just put the latest kernel on it (at least I think I did!) It was version 1.5 english. I then put a nds file game on the micro sd & bunged it into the dsi. da da da daaaaa!!!! I only get the white letters "loading" & nothing appears to progress from there. Why oh why am I such a failure. Am I being punished for buying an R4 card?????
Help is greatly appreciated.

Ok lets see if I can help :-)
Right first of all you need to format your micro SD card....you can do this using the SD association formatter, Visit official SD Formatter from the SD Association website: http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/eula
While you are doing this you can download the correct software, this need to be from the manufacturer of the cards website, the URL should be clearly written on the card.
This will download as a zipped file (will look like a pile of books), unzip the file using winzip or similar (same as extracting the files). Transfer all of these files/folders over to your freshly formatted Micro SD card. DO NOT put any games on to it at this point...lets just see if it works first.
Once all of the files have finished transferring, carefully remove the micro SD card from the USB reader and place into your DS card. Insert this carefully into the game slot on your console. Now turn it on and see if it works...?
If it does great! you can now put a few games on at a time. Put these individually at the root directory of the micro SD and NOT into a folder.
Good luck
Many Thanks

HI
I have already tried doing that but still my card wont gom further than selecting it at the original screen.
The software I have downloaded is from the website on the box.
It cant be a faulty card as I bought 4 (one for each member of the family) and they all have the same problem.
There must be something i'm not doing

I have looked at the website and can see that the software download is version v2.39 Core, is this the one you have used?
Can you confirm that you have tried doing this with more than one micro SD card? on occasions the problem could arise if there is a fault with this. Lastly can you confirm what consoles you are trying this in along with the operating software currently installed is using a DSi/DSi XL
Many Thanks

Hi
I can confirm that is what I have downloaded. I have tried using various SD cards and 2gb and 4gb.
I am trying to use this with a dsi ver 1.4E
I was also told that this would work in the normal ds lites (I have used r4i cards in the past with a ds but not this version 1.41 )
I dont know what else to try.

This is a little bizarre that all of these are displaying the same error... can you confirm the files and folders that you have placed onto your micro SD card? and also that you have formatted the micro SD cards first? you need to do this between every software load attempt as simply deleting the files will leave a footprint on the card and can cause this type of error.
Many Thanks
